Overview

We are hiring for a Director of OSP Construction in Houston, Texas!

Responsibilities
  • Recruit, hire, train, and lead regional OSP teams including field managers, supervisors, splicers, locators, construction managers, and inspectors.
  • Drive annual construction goals — ensuring fiber passings are delivered on schedule and within budget.
  • Oversee third-party contractors
    , ensuring safety, quality, professionalism, and respect for the communities being served.
  • Implement training and quality-control programs to maintain industry-leading standards of safety, reliability, and performance.
  • Develop and manage construction budgets, resources, and vendor scorecards.
  • Report weekly on contractor and market performance, meeting quarterly with vendors to review results.
  • Serve as a community ambassador
    , liaising with local officials to keep projects moving smoothly.
  • Anticipate and resolve construction challenges while keeping the pipeline of activity strong.
  • Review BOMs, engineering prints, and as-builts to ensure accuracy in design, documentation, and execution.
  • Partner with project managers to develop work plans, schedules, and resource strategies.
  • Lead the OSP department with a focus on coaching, teamwork, and creating a rewarding culture

Required Skills
  • 10+ years of senior construction experience, ideally in fiber, telecom, or utilities.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale OSP fiber construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering prints, BOMs, and permitting requirements.
  • Excellent leadership skills — able to hire, coach, and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Track record of delivering fiber projects on time, on budget, and at scale
    .
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships with accountability and performance metrics.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to represent the company with government leaders and community stakeholders.
