Operations Manager
The Superintendent supports the General or Senior Superintendent in overseeing one or more operational areas of a construction project. This role may coordinate and schedule multiple construction crews, determine construction requirements, plan procedures, and ensure subcontracted work meets required specifications. The position also participates in inspections of work and equipment to verify safety and confirm that project operation specifications are met.
Travel of up to 100% may be required.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage daily field operational objectives, timelines, and goals.
- Monitor overall project and jobsite progress; review processes and practices within teams to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality of delivery.
- Assist in monitoring the project schedule and budget and collaborate with senior field leadership to maintain and update them.
- Coordinate with subcontractors on recovery plans when necessary; meet regularly with staff and subcontractors to discuss progress, obstacles, and challenges, and help remove barriers to completing work.
- Read and interpret construction documents to determine construction requirements and plan procedures.
- Record, maintain, and produce reports including personnel, production, project logs, status updates, and other operational data.
- Manage jobsite safety by conducting site walks, participating in inspections, providing training, and meeting regularly with staff and subcontractors.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 5–7 years of experience in construction management, including experience serving as a Superintendent on at least one project
- Knowledge of scheduling, cost control, and safety procedures
- Knowledge of multiple construction trades, including but not limited to carpentry, concrete, structural steel, and interior build-outs
- Experience managing performance and leading a diverse field team
- General computer skills (e.g., standard office software)
- Valid driver's license

Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor settings with exposure to varying weather and temperature conditions, including travel between jobsites. - Physical:
Requires sufficient physical ability to work in office and field (construction site) environments; walk, stand, and sit for extended periods; frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and perform repetitive hand movements. Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs independently and more than 50 lbs with assistance. Ability to operate assigned equipment and vehicles and communicate verbally to exchange information. - Vision:
Ability to see within the normal visual range, with or without correction. - Hearing:
Ability to hear within the normal audio range, with or without correction.
