Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role located in Houston, TX, for a Chief Estimator and Underground Utilities Lead Estimator. Responsibilities include preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing bid proposals, and managing project budgets. The role also involves reviewing blueprints, technical documents, and specifications, coordinating with project managers and subcontractors, and ensuring cost-effective and competitive project completion. Applicants will drive pre-construction efforts and contribute to project planning and decision-making processes.
Qualifications- Proficiency in cost estimation, quantity takeoffs, and project budgeting
- Familiarity with underground utilities and infrastructure-related projects
- Ability to analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and construction documents
- Strong leadership, management, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency with estimation software and construction technology tools
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Excellent problem-solving, attention-to-detail, and organizational capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Chief Estimator or relevant position within the construction industry required
