Estimator - Single Family Custom Homes

Job Description Overview

Sade Custom Homes is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to support our single-family custom home division. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing subcontractor bids, and supporting pre-construction efforts to ensure projects meet budget and design objectives.

• Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings to develop detailed quantity take-offs.
• Prepare conceptual, schematic, and final estimates for single-family custom homes.
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and vendor proposals.
• Maintain unit pricing and cost history database.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to reduce cost without compromising quality.
• Assist project management team with budget updates and cost tracking.
• Coordinate with design team and ownership on scope gaps, allowances, and alternates.
• Support pre-construction schedules and participate in handoff meetings to field teams.

• 5+ years estimating experience in single-family or custom home construction.
• Strong knowledge of residential building assemblies, CSI divisions, and construction sequencing.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Excel).
• Ability to interpret architectural/engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred, but not required with equivalent experience.
