Job Overview
The Hoist Sales Representative is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing customer relationships, preparing project estimates and proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing construction hoist projects within an assigned territory.
This position serves as a key point of contact for customers throughout the full project lifecycle, from prospecting and estimating through project execution and billing.
Responsibilities- Develop and expand relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, and construction industry decision-makers throughout the assigned territory
- Identify and pursue new construction projects and business opportunities
- Review construction drawings and project specifications to develop accurate estimates and proposals
- Prepare and deliver professional presentations, bids, and pricing packages
- Sell operated and maintained construction hoist services, as well as bare rental solutions
- Manage assigned projects to ensure customer satisfaction, operational execution, and profitability
- Maintain consistent communication with leadership regarding pipeline activity, forecasts, and sales performance
- Support new and existing customer accounts with responsive service and issue resolution
- Achieve established revenue and profitability targets for the territory
- Maintain working knowledge of applicable construction hoist regulations, safety requirements, and compliance standards
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of sales experience required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, crane, heavy equipment, or related industrial industries preferred
- Strong understanding of construction project environments and customer expectations
- Proven ability to build relationships and close business
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- College degree preferred
