Commercial Construction Project Executive - Mission Critical Job Description

The Project Executive role is to effectively manage both small and large scale projects from discovery and design to development and implementation. A Project Executive is responsible for all of the duties performed by the Project Manager as well as the following:

• Maintains adherence to HITT’s standards of safety
• Ensures all job processes are followed in accordance with HITT policies
• Negotiates terms and conditions of contracts with clients
• Monitors the progress of each project through updated schedules
• Ensures that the project Quality Control Plan is followed
• Assists project staff in resolving scope problems with subcontractors
• Ensures proper assignment and evaluation of field personnel both within the project team and throughout the company
• Identifies and negotiates time extensions where justified and allowed
• Acquires new work as well as maintaining existing clients
• Maintains positive relationships with the subcontractor community
• Ensures timely completion of closeout process
• Leads the preconstruction and RFP package effort with the help of the Preconstruction Department and/or other company resources
• Delegates responsibility when necessary to ensure that the project/tasks run smoothly

• 10+ years of experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor
• Prior healthcare construction project experience required
• A four‑year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred; in lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable
• Previous experience in a project management role with the ability to execute multiple projects and/or simultaneously
• Ability to master sector/project‑specific software systems including but not limited to:
  Microsoft Office suite (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), Pro Core, Adobe, Blue Beam, JD Edwards
• Mastery of reading construction drawings; tasks including reading, interpreting, and updating construction project‑related drawings
• Ability to organize necessary resources, including people, tools and time to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results
• Knowledge of current market conditions including pricing conventions and trends
• Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills; presents complex information clearly and concisely
• Shows initiative, seeks responsibility, and demonstrates integrity consistent with The HITT Way and HITT’s core values
• Seeks continuous improvement of knowledge and abilities, focusing on self‑improvement
• Recognizes quality and implements contractual and HITT quality standards

• Coaches, trains and educates assistant level operations team members
