Project Manager – Brice Construction & Design LLC
Location:
Houston, TX (and surrounding areas)
Lead and manage civil construction projects from start to finish. Oversee on‑site operations, safety, quality, schedule, and budget while coordinating trade contractors, suppliers, and project resources.
Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and direct project activities in collaboration with the Estimator, Superintendent, Project Engineers, and Foremen.
- Develop project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards in line with corporate policy and contract specifications.
- Ensure work meets contract requirements through coordination with the Superintendent, Quality Manager, and Management Team.
- Review project plans and specifications; confirm scope and coordinate with the team.
- Maintain on‑site safety and compliance; suspend or modify work practices as necessary.
- Procure and schedule materials, equipment, personnel, and subcontractors to meet project schedule and budget.
- Manage revenue, cost-to-complete, and cash‑flow projections on a monthly basis.
- Assist with project estimates, ensuring all factors are considered, scheduled, priced, and included.
- Maintain comprehensive reporting and documentation, including progress, cost schedules, and project schedules.
- Oversee project close‑out documentation, including commissioning reports and retained documentation.
- Represent the company in project meetings and maintain professional relationships with customers and vendors.
- Travel as required (maximum 95% of the time).
- Perform additional duties as directed by management.
- Supervise project field personnel and subcontractors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of civil project management experience.
- Valid state driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle per company policy.
- Ability to pass drug test and background screening.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Experience with scheduling, subcontracts, submittals, quality control, and safety.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project, P6, Excel, Word, Outlook, Autodesk Civil 3D, HCSS Heavy Bid, and HCSS Heavy Job.
- Excellent analytical, forecasting, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to travel for extended periods.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and efficiently.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- OSHA 30‑hour, USACE CQM certificate.
- Resident Management System (RMS) experience.
