Project Manager - Civil Construction As a Civil Construction Project Manager
, you are responsible for leading infrastructure and site development projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant delivery. You provide overall project leadership by aligning field operations, subcontractors, engineers, and owners around shared goals for schedule, cost, quality, and performance. On a day‑to‑day basis, you manage the critical mechanics of project execution, including cost tracking and forecasting, schedule updates, subcontractor coordination, material and equipment procurement, RFIs and submittals, change management, and documentation.
You work closely with superintendents and field teams to address site conditions, sequencing challenges, utility conflicts, and production impacts while ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, permits, and inspection requirements. Experienced Project Managers take on expanded responsibility by leading multiple phases or scopes of work, mentoring Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, supporting estimating and pre‑construction activities, and managing more complex risk, cost, and schedule challenges.

- Previous project management experience on civil, heavy civil, or infrastructure projects such as site development, utilities, roadways, drainage, or concrete structures.
- Strong understanding of civil construction means and methods, including earthwork, grading, underground utilities, paving, and concrete construction.
- Proven ability to manage day‑to‑day project operations, subcontractor performance, cost tracking, and schedule adherence.
- Solid knowledge of project contracts, specifications, change management, and coordination with engineers and inspectors.
- Proficiency with project management and scheduling software. Excellent communication, organization, contract knowledge, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to perform in a fast‑paced field environment with tight schedules, evolving site conditions, and multiple stakeholders.
