Audubon is currently seeking a Light Equipment Operator I to join our team in our Off Site Office. The Light Equipment Operator I will perform the movement of Earth and debris for a jobsite via the usage of light equipment.
Primary Responsibilities- Must have experience and knowledge of operatingvariesconstructionlightequipment including but not limited to bobcats, bulldozers, excavators, front-end loaders, backhoes, rollers, RT forklift, and graders.
- Must have basic mechanical knowledge and illustrate the abilities to inspect equipment.
- Must have knowledge of and be familiar with soil types.
- Must illustrate knowledge of excavating and the specifications that are required for a given excavation.
- Mustbe able to follow instructions correctly.
- Must be reliable, accountable, and consistent in performing administrative processes such as but not limited to equipmentinspectionpaperwork.
- Must be willing and able to follow all instructed safety regulations.
- Must be able to make it work on time andworkthe designated schedule and any overtime as needed with the proper notification.
- Must be able to use Bob cats, bulldozers, excavators, front end loaders, and backhoes.
- All employees are responsible for supporting Audubon Companies’ Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. This includes:
- Performing duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety
- Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities
- Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions
- Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Related trade school education is preferred.
- Five years' experience in the construction industry.
- Five years' experience asaequipment operator.
- Must have or be able to obtain OSHAConstruction Basic Plus Safety Training Card.
- Civil construction and quality assurance practices and procedures.
- Construction safety practices.
- Proven experience ascivilconstruction carpenter.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures,equipment and HSE guidelines.
- Ability to read drawings,plansand blueprints.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate and report effectively.
- Aptitude in math and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read,comprehend and carry out instructions.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently when required.
- Ability to motivate, lead, teach and trainonproper work and safety procedures.
- Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing. Individuals must have a valid driver's license and driving record that meets Company requirements.
