What You Will Do:
GFT is seeking a Senior Railroad Construction Manager to join our Construction Services group in Texas. Must be willing to travel 90% of the time.

Whatyou'll be challenged to do:
Inspect and oversee construction work to ensure that procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications, perform quality control inspection and documentation on railroad projects, material testing oversight, construction cost tracking and estimates, and coordinate between construction project stakeholders. This role requires 90% travel.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:- General construction knowledge
- Research plans, specification, material testing procedures and local agency requirements
- Prepare and maintain daily and periodic documentation and records throughout the project
- Visits to project sites to inspect and document field work performed
- Preparation of technical reports
- Provide observation and inspection of the construction work and contractor operations
- Maintains the daily log of construction and inspection activities and compares progress reports
- Maintains construction safety practices and work methods for compliance
- Minimum high school diploma
- 15+ years of general construction experience
- Ability to travel 90% of the time
- Valid driver's license required
- Must successfully complete background check and drug screening
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience in highway and railroad construction
- Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Head Light, etc.)
- Construction Management or Civil Engineering Degree
The salary range for this role is $140,000-$210,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
