Our client, a leader in utility-scale projects, seeks an experienced and driven Substation Superintendent to oversee critical substation construction activities. The Substation Superintendent will manage field operations for high-voltage substation construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills, ensuring compliance with safety standards, quality specifications, and project timelines.

• Lead and supervise substation construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient project execution.
• Oversee all aspects of substation construction, including site preparation, installation of equipment, grounding, wiring, and commissioning.
• Monitor and enforce safety standards, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project specifications, schedules, and budgets are met.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules, adjusting for changes and managing resources effectively.
• Ensure quality control and adherence to industry standards, specifications, and design requirements.
• Manage material procurement, inventory, and site logistics to prevent delays.
• Prepare daily reports, track progress, and communicate updates to management and stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to equipment installation and construction activities.

• Proven experience as a Substation Superintendent or similar leadership role in substation construction.
• Extensive knowledge of high-voltage substations, electrical systems, and utility infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of industry safety practices and regulatory compliance.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in scheduling software and project management tools is a plus.

• High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or certification in electrical construction is preferred.
• OSHA certification and other relevant safety training are highly desirable.
