Job Title: On‑Site Project Manager (Structural Steel)

Location: Houston, Texas

A leading U.S. structural steel fabrication company is seeking an On‑Site Project Manager to support major commercial and industrial construction projects nationwide. This is a hands‑on field role focused on coordinating contractors and erection crews, ensuring schedules are met, maintaining safety standards, and keeping projects moving efficiently from start to finish.

• Inspecting and checking steel loads arriving on site
• Coordinating day‑to‑day job site activities to keep work progressing
• Acting as the main liaison between the contractor, customer, and internal project teams
• Maintaining and updating punch lists
• Coordinating field changes with the office‑based Project Manager
• Working closely with subcontracted erection crews to ensure schedules are met
• Attending daily site meetings and weekly safety meetings
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues directly in the field alongside subcontractors
• Monitoring and enforcing safety compliance on site Ensuring all contract requirements are being fulfilled properly
• 5+ years of field experience in construction (structural steel preferred)
• Strong understanding of structural steel erection and large‑scale commercial projects
• Experience working with general contractors, steel erectors, or similar construction environments
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Willingness to travel regularly and work on‑site full time
• Reliable work history (minimal job hopping preferred)
• Team‑oriented and dependable personality
