General Construction Day Laborer
Location: Houston, TX and surrounding areas
Job Type: Temporary / Day Labor / Project-Based
Pay: $16.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience
Job SummaryWe are seeking dependable and hardworking General Construction Day Laborers to assist with commercial construction projects. This position is ideal for individuals who have previous experience working on construction sites and understand basic jobsite safety and labor tasks. No specialized trade experience is required.
The Day Laborer will assist construction crews with material handling, site cleanup, demolition, and other general labor duties as assigned. Candidates should be reliable, physically capable, and willing to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist construction crews with general labor tasks.
Load, unload, and move construction materials and equipment.
Clean and prepare job sites before, during, and after construction activities.
Remove debris and maintain a safe, organized work area.
Assist with demolition, material installation, and project support as directed.
Use basic hand and power tools safely.
Follow instructions from supervisors and crew leaders.
Adhere to all company safety policies and jobsite requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.
Previous experience working on commercial or residential construction sites.
Familiarity with basic construction tools and equipment.
Understanding of general construction site safety practices.
Ability to assist skilled trades and perform physical labor.
No specialized trade certifications or extensive experience required.
Work is performed on active commercial construction sites and may involve exposure to dust, noise, varying weather conditions, and construction equipment. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
