Position Summary

The Concrete Superintendent is responsible for leading commercial and industrial concrete operations, overseeing field execution, safety, quality, scheduling, and production. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone with extensive experience in concrete carpentry and tilt‑up construction who enjoys being in the field and leading crews to successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily concrete construction operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.
  • Supervise multiple foremen and field crews while coordinating manpower, equipment, and project sequencing.
  • Manage concrete carpentry and tilt‑up activities, including formwork, layout, embeds, panel casting, lifting, and erection.
  • Develop pour plans, lift plans, and work closely with project managers, engineers, and general contractors.
  • Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety standards while promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Monitor productivity, labor, equipment usage, and project progress to meet schedule and budget goals.
  • Serve as the primary field contact for clients, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
  • Travel to project sites as needed.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of commercial or industrial concrete construction experience.
  • Previous experience as a Concrete Superintendent or Senior Foreman.
  • Strong background in tilt‑up construction and concrete carpentry.
  • Experience with large slab pours, elevated decks, and high‑volume concrete placements.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and coordinate field operations.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing multiple crews.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
  • Willingness to travel.
Preferred
  • OSHA 30 Certification (OSHA 10 minimum).
  • Experience with construction management or production tracking software.
