Construction Engineer

Technip Energies, a leading engineering and technology company, is seeking a Construction Engineer based in Houston, TX.

The Construction Engineer supports the Construction Lead Engineer/Manager in executing all duties, particularly in preparing deliverables required at the various phases of construction activity for a given project.

• Participate in the timely and qualitative preparation of a Construction Execution Plan and procedures in coordination with other disciplines.
• Support the Subcontracting team in defining the subcontracting plan and during the selection process.
• Review the documents of the Call for Bid packages relative to Construction.
• Assist the Subcontracting Team in answering bidders’ clarifications, reviewing the technical offers, and preparing the Test‑by‑Test (TBT) during the bidding phase.
• Define the construction sequence and construction work area (CWA) in coordination with CSU and Planning teams.
• Define direct man‑hours and the site man‑ning chart, estimate the needs for specialized subcontractors, and provide inputs to the overall EPC schedule.
• Prepare general method statements, request studies for specific activities (heavy lift, scaffoldings, etc.), and contribute to the definition and design of temporary construction facilities and camps if applicable.
• Prepare the project construction deliverables list on request of the Project Construction Manager.
• Support the Project Construction Manager in defining the construction measurement system database through daily coordination with the Project Team.
• Organize constructability reviews.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Less than 2 years of experience in project/field services and/or plant operation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Fundamental understanding of construction processes.
• Basic knowledge of construction management software and CAD tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint).
