Senior Sales Estimator

The Senior Sales Estimator position is an immensely important role within our company. This position holds the keys to the vault. What they estimate will either ensure our longevity or take us down a path that ends in chaos and ruin. Success looks like working hard, but working smart. Being wise about which risks to take. It is imperative that this individual work closely with the established elite sales team, all of whom pursue excellence with the utmost professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Takeoffs and Estimating:
  Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings to estimate material, labor, and subcontractor costs.
• Site Visits:
  Conduct on-site inspections to assess project conditions, take measurements, and identify potential risks.
• Proposal Development:
  Prepare and submit accurate, detailed bids, proposals, and contracts for private and public work.
• Vendor/Supplier Negotiation:
  Solicit and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and material suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
• Project Management Support:
  Coordinate with Project Managers and Director of Operations to align the client's stated timeframe with the current projected schedule.
• Client Relations:
  Serve as the primary contact for project inquiries, revisions, and follow-ups.

• Technical Knowledge:
  Strong understanding of the nature of our work: asphalt paving.
• Software Proficiency:
  Proficiency in estimating software & CRM software (Building Connected, Civ Cast, Blue Beam, Pavement Soft, One Crew, Hubspot, Monday, Rocket fuel, Salesforce, Microsoft Products, Google Products) - List all software proficiencies.
• Sales Knowledge:
  Ability to understand each client and speak to who they are and what they need.
• Plan Reading:
  Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, specifications, and engineered drawings.

  Strong mathematical and analytical skills to calculate production rates and manage costs.

  Ability to build relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
