ResponsibilitiesAs an Assistant Construction Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring projects remain safe, organized, on schedule, and within budget.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting daily construction operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and meeting quality standards.
- Collaborating with Project Managers, Construction Managers, field teams, subcontractors, and clients throughout project execution.
- Aiding in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and contract administration.
- Overseeing field activities to ensure compliance with safety programs, quality standards, permits, and project specifications.
- Monitoring project progress, preparing reports, managing documentation, and assisting with cost reporting, invoicing, and change management.
- Coordinating material deliveries, equipment, mobilization, and site logistics.
- Identifying project risks and contributing to practical solutions.
- Establishing strong client relationships to support successful project delivery from kickoff through closeout.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
- 3+ years of experience in construction, field engineering, or project management.
- Experience in commercial, industrial, utility, energy, T&D, oil & gas, aviation, manufacturing, or similar infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with construction scheduling, project controls, budgeting, and cost management.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project management, scheduling, or construction software is beneficial.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic construction environment.
- Willingness to travel full-time to project sites.
- Participate in large, intricate infrastructure projects that impact communities and critical utility systems.
