The Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager oversees highway construction materials testing projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, QA/QC standards, and material testing procedures while managing project execution, client coordination, and field and laboratory testing activities.
Responsibilities- Oversee QA/QC activities and ensure compliance with project specifications and material testing procedures.
- Review construction plans, specifications, and interpret material test results.
- Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and clients to resolve construction and testing issues.
- Supervise laboratory and field-testing activities for soil, concrete, and asphalt.
- Attend pre-construction meetings, inspect ongoing construction work, and monitor project progress.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Hands-on experience of construction project management.
- Hands-on experience of laboratory testing, construction materials testing, material inspection, or related engineering.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience managing highway, bridge, or transportation construction projects.
- Knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, and DOT standards.
