Job Summary:

The Mastercraft Deputy Operations Manager is responsible for managing supervisors, planning, and directing work activities for specific scopes of work across the Project. Supervises and directs craft professionals, subordinate supervisors, and others, as assigned. Ensures assigned construction performance is following specifications and within schedules and budgets. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule if required, including, but not limited to night shift, split shift, or day shift work..

Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress). Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.).

# Major Responsibilities:

** Leadership/Supervision*
* + Supervises and/or directs craft activities with discipline Superintendents as assigned.

+ Schedules work to be performed, and reviews work accomplished by each craft.

+ Performs general functions inherent in all supervisory field positions.

+ Oversees, coordinates and reports field activities of construction.

+ Proactively engages with their team's development through CPM, Competency development/assessment and feedback

** Planning/Productivity*
* + Determines workforce requirements.

+ Coordinates established area operational plans.

+ Coordinates activities with other disciplines or areas and clients' resident representatives, as instructed by construction management.

+ Assists with the development of planning construction methods and procedures.

+ Oversees the development of projections and schedules for workforce, material and equipment requirements

+ Reviews and assigns installation work packages to foreman and general foreman

+ Oversees the reporting of installed quantities to Field Engineering for verification and quantity claiming

+ Reviews project controls documents on progress relating to cost and schedule.

+ Oversees the preparation of reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, craft personnel forecasts, and expenditures forecast.

+ Prepares construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.

+ Oversees the coordination of construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules.

** Tools, Materials & Equipment*
* + Monitors tool and equipment usage on the site.

+ Oversees the preparation of Field Material
