Construction Manager/ Foreman, Site Manager, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
The Assistant Project Manager (AV) supports the Project Manager and field teams in the planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of projects. This role assists with scheduling, material coordination, project closeout activities, site readiness, and field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with NCS quality standards and customer expectations.
This position is a hybrid role that blends field operations with project coordination and management responsibilities. The Assistant Project Manager serves as a key communication link between project management, estimating, customers, and field teams while helping track project progress, identify risks, and support operational needs. This role also contributes to workforce development by assisting with hands‑on training and mentoring field personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Represent NCS with professionalism, integrity, accountability, and strong customer service
- Assist in scheduling field personnel and resources to meet project timelines and customer requirements
- Monitor and adjust project schedules based on changing operational needs
- Support material planning and prepare material requisitions based on project requirements and bill of materials
- Coordinate project tasks with material availability to maintain schedule alignment
- Monitor inventory levels to support project execution
- Assist with project documentation, including as-built drawings and closeout packages
- Coordinate project closeout documentation and customer sign-offs with project administration
- Evaluate site readiness and support pre-installation planning activities
- Coordinate site access, badging, and personnel readiness requirements
- Ensure required testing equipment and specialized tools are available to support project schedules
- Maintain quality standards and ensure work meets NCS and customer expectations
- Perform fieldwork and assist with project execution as needed
- Support onboarding, coaching, and on-the-job training (OJT) for field personnel and new hires
- Provide daily project updates and communicate progress, risks, and concerns
- Attend customer meetings, site walks, and coordination meetings as required
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5+ years of experience in construction, telecommunications, industrial, or related field environments preferred
- Prior experience in project coordination or field leadership preferred
- Previous NCS experience preferred
- Ability to learn and use new software and mobile applications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
- Ability to travel as needed for project support
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Must pass pre‑employment background check and drug screening
