Project Manager – Commercial Tilt-Wall Construction

A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing team in Houston. This is an opportunity to lead large-scale tilt-wall and industrial projects from preconstruction through closeout while working with an experienced operations team and a strong backlog of negotiated work.

This role is best suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships with clients and subcontractors, and has a proven track record delivering complex tilt-wall projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial tilt-wall construction projects from award through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.
  • Oversee subcontractor procurement, buyout, contract administration, and change management.
  • Coordinate closely with Superintendents, Owners, Architects, and Engineers to ensure successful project execution.
  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve project risks before they impact schedule or budget.
  • Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Mentor Project Engineers and support the overall project team.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing commercial tilt-wall construction projects is required.
  • Demonstrated success delivering ground-up tilt-wall projects from start to finish.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction means and methods.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and subcontractor relationships.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or large commercial construction.
  • Experience on projects exceeding $15 million.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
