Project Manager – Commercial Tilt-Wall Construction
A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing team in Houston. This is an opportunity to lead large-scale tilt-wall and industrial projects from preconstruction through closeout while working with an experienced operations team and a strong backlog of negotiated work.
This role is best suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships with clients and subcontractors, and has a proven track record delivering complex tilt-wall projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial tilt-wall construction projects from award through closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, buyout, contract administration, and change management.
- Coordinate closely with Superintendents, Owners, Architects, and Engineers to ensure successful project execution.
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve project risks before they impact schedule or budget.
- Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
- Mentor Project Engineers and support the overall project team.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing commercial tilt-wall construction projects is required.
- Demonstrated success delivering ground-up tilt-wall projects from start to finish.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction means and methods.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and subcontractor relationships.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- Industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or large commercial construction.
- Experience on projects exceeding $15 million.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
