Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team in Houston. This role is responsible for leading the successful execution of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in municipal utility construction, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
This position offers the opportunity to manage impactful infrastructure projects while working alongside a team committed to quality, safety, and excellence.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage water and wastewater construction projects throughout all phases of execution.
- Develop project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and work plans.
- Coordinate field operations with Superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
- Monitor project costs, productivity, and financial performance.
- Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
- Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
- Maintain strong relationships with owners, engineers, inspectors, and municipal representatives.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring schedule and budget objectives are met.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and project quality requirements.
- Oversee project closeout activities and final documentation.
- 5+ years of Project Management experience in heavy civil, underground utility, water, or wastewater construction.
- Strong understanding of water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, lift stations, and treatment facility projects.
- Experience managing municipal infrastructure projects.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Proficiency with project scheduling and construction management software.
- Strong financial management, estimating, and cost-control skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
