- Build construction readiness for new market entry, including DFW.
- Develop a bench of project managers and superintendents capable of running work without executive intervention.
- Own installation execution across all Texas markets - safety, schedule, quality, and cost.
- Lead and develop the Project Manager team; set workload standards, review cadence, and escalation protocols.
- Partner with Manufacturing and Fleet & Supply Chain to align production, delivery, and install sequencing.
- Resolve field escalations, customer/GC issues, and change conditions with clear commercial judgment.
- Author and enforce standardized installation SOPs, quality checkpoints, and crew productivity standards by product type (precast panel, brick/masonry, columns, gates).
- Implement a disciplined project lifecycle: handoff from Sales, pre-construction planning, submittals, scheduling, execution, punch, closeout, and warranty.
- Establish change order and RFI discipline - nothing performed without written authorization.
- Serve as the construction-side owner for proprietary Command Center operating system implementation requirements (job costing, scheduling, field reporting).
- Build, qualify, and manage a Texas-wide subcontractor bench with sufficient depth for redundancy in every market.
- Own subcontractor prequalification: insurance certificates, W-9, safety history, references, capacity, and licensing.
- Ensure all subcontractors are onboarded under the current Master Subcontract Agreement with required insurance and indemnity terms in place before mobilization - no work begins without an executed agreement.
- Establish subcontractor scorecards (safety, quality, schedule, rework) and manage the bench on performance.
- Develop rate structures and unit pricing that protect installed margin while supporting competitive bidding.
- Own job-level cost performance; drive weekly review of budget vs. actual labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor spend.
- Partner with Estimating to close the loop between bid assumptions and field reality - feed actual productivity data back into pricing.
- Reduce rework, re mobilizations, and warranty cost through root-cause analysis and corrective action.
- Approve field expenditures and subcontractor invoices within delegated authority.
- Champion a safety-first culture; enforce OSHA compliance, toolbox talks, JHAs, and incident investigation across employee and subcontractor crews.
- Ensure permitting, inspection, and municipal compliance requirements are met in every jurisdiction.
- Enforce quality standards at installation and drive corrective action on defects originating in plant or field.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop Project Managers and Superintendents; build succession depth in each market.
- Set clear performance expectations and hold the field organization accountable to measurable standards.
- Partner with HR on workforce planning, crew staffing models, and field labor retention.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field - or equivalent field earned experience.
- 10+ years of construction operations leadership, including 5+ years managing multi-site project management teams.
- Demonstrated experience building and managing subcontractor networks across multiple markets.
- Proven record of implementing standardized processes in an environment previously run on tribal knowledge.
- Strong job costing, scheduling, and margin management capability.
- Working knowledge of Texas construction contracting practices, permitting, and OSHA compliance.
- Willingness to travel across Texas and be present in the field.
- Experience in precast concrete, masonry, site work, or specialty trade contracting.
