Aftermarket Services EHS Coordinator

The Aftermarket Services EHS Coordinator reports to the Senior Vice President – Aftermarket Services and is dotted line to TAS Corporate EHS Director. The position will be responsible for overseeing the job site Safety Program for TAS Field Service and Commissioning Teams at all commissioning and service sites. The position requires extensive travel and a strong field presence to promote a proactive safety culture and ensure safe execution of aftermarket services

Job Responsibilities:
  • Work with Aftermarket Leadership and TAS Corporate EHS Director to develop an EHS program for all of TAS project commissioning and service sites
  • Travel to each new jobsite concurrent with or prior to Field Engineer mobilization to meet with Client's Safety team and ensure safety plans and procedures are aligned
  • Resolve all conflicts and interface issues regarding adherence to safety standards with Client's and General Contactor's EHS management
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Work with Service Project Managers, Service Supervisors and Lead Field Engineers to ensure proper implementation of TAS and Client's Safety Program at each TAS commissioning and Service site for all activities in which TAS employees and contractors are engaged
  • Conduct audits and risk assessments across all active sites
  • Confer regularly with Lead Field Engineers to ensure that potential hazards are being identified and solutions are being implemented in accordance with TAS and Client's safety plans
  • Ensure that all site personnel are trained on the site's JSA program and that processes are in place for continual review of site JSA's.
  • Maintain all safety training and records for site commissioning and service employees and contractors
  • Facilitate and conduct periodic training for all jobsite personnel including employees and subcontractors
  • Investigate and document all incidents and travel to jobsites as needed to review incidents and propose action plans
  • Maintain running safety report including observations, near misses and violations for each active job site and review with Aftermarket leadership monthly
  • Build and train EHS team as necessary to keep up with growth plan and number of concurrent sites
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety performance and culture
  • Participate in Client meetings as needed at each site
  • All other responsibilities as assigned by TAS
Job

Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of attention to detail and time management
  • Proven knowledge of construction safety regulations, guidelines and risk mitigation
  • Basic skills with MS Office suite and construction management software
  • Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis experience
  • Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations
Education & Training:
  • High School diploma plus extensive construction safety program experience
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, Environmental Science or related field preferred
Minimum Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience developing and leading a safety program in construction and/or modular installation environment in multiple states
  • Proven track record of collaborating with various construction disciplines on safety matters
  • Strong knowledge of Lotto and JSA procedures
  • Strong knowledge of safe electrical practices in MV/LV systems
  • Ability to travel domestically on short notice
  • Ability to work in elevated or confined spaces and around heavy equipment
  • OSHA 30 Certification
Physical Requirements /Work Environment:

Position is at least ~40% at a desk working with computer and ~60% travel developing potential customer relationships and/or coordinating TAS project site teams and customer contractors. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Performs other physical activities including use of fingers, sitting, stooping, bending, crouching, talking, hearing and performing repetitive motions.
