Estimator – Structural Concrete
A leading commercial concrete contractor in the Houston area is seeking an Estimator with strong structural concrete experience. This team supports major commercial, healthcare, higher-education, and research facility projects and is known for delivering high-quality work through advanced technology and a collaborative, family-oriented culture. The company self-performs all structural concrete, giving the estimating team direct influence over quality, schedule, and cost.
Key Responsibilities
- Quantity takeoffs for foundations, elevated decks, walls, columns, and other structural elements
- Conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates
- Drawing and specification review
- Coordination with PMs, Supers, and design teams
- Subcontractor and supplier proposal evaluation
- Preconstruction support including value engineering and budgeting
- Cost history and estimate documentation
Qualifications
- 5+ years estimating structural concrete for commercial projects
- Experience with self-performed concrete strongly preferred
- Proficiency with estimating software and digital takeoff tools
- Strong understanding of concrete materials, methods, and industry standards
- Effective communication, organization, and analytical skills
