Overview

As a Project Manager, you will oversee the financial and contractual side of ground-up mixed-commercial projects valued at $15M+. This role is office-based and focused on budgets, contracts, and logistical support to the field. You will manage cost control, forecasting, and contract administration to ensure projects run smoothly and profitably. Unlike many PM roles, you will not be tasked with RFIs, submittals, or schedule ownership, allowing you to focus fully on financial performance and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial management of ground-up mixed-commercial projects ($15M+) including budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and contract administration
• Negotiate, draft, and manage subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders
• Track project costs, cash flow, and profitability throughout the project lifecycle
• Provide logistical and administrative support to field teams to ensure smooth project delivery
• Work closely with leadership to provide accurate reporting and financial analysis
• Maintain strong subcontractor and vendor relationships to support ongoing operations

Qualifications

• 6+ years of construction experience, including at least 2 years as an Assistant Project Manager or current experience as a Project Manager.
• Proven experience managing ground-up mixed-commercial projects $15M+ (K-12, municipal, community, and higher ed experience preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required
• Strong financial acumen and contract management skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Based in Greater Houston
