A growing national commercial general contractor is looking to add a Project Manager to its Houston team. The company specializes in high-end corporate interiors, tenant improvements, renovations, and complex commercial buildouts for national and regional clients.

The Houston operation is continuing to expand and offers the opportunity to join a well-established national contractor while working within a smaller, growth-oriented local team.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage commercial interior and renovation projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Lead projects typically ranging from approximately $2M–$20M+
  • Manage subcontractor buyout, contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications
  • Maintain project budgets, forecasts, schedules, and overall financial performance
  • Coordinate closely with owners, architects, consultants, property managers, and subcontractors
  • Lead OAC meetings and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project
  • Partner with field teams to manage schedule, quality, logistics, and project delivery
  • Support preconstruction efforts including budgeting, constructability reviews, and value engineering
  • Manage multiple projects or fast-paced assignments depending on size and complexity
  • Help build long-term relationships within the Houston commercial real estate market
What They’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of commercial construction experience
  • Previous Project Manager or strong Assistant Project Manager experience
  • Experience with commercial interiors, tenant improvements, corporate office, or renovation projects
  • Strong understanding of project financials, subcontractor management, and construction documentation
  • Experience working in occupied buildings and on fast-track projects is highly preferred
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Ability to independently manage projects from start through completion
  • Houston subcontractor and market relationships are a plus
Ideal Project Experience

The strongest candidates will have experience with projects such as:

  • Class A corporate interiors
  • Office renovations
  • Financial or professional-services offices
  • High-end workplace environments
  • Lab or technical office spaces
  • Occupied commercial renovations
Why Consider It?
  • Join a national contractor with more than $600M in annual revenue
  • Be part of a growing Houston operation with strong national-client relationships
  • Work on sophisticated, high-end commercial interior projects
  • Opportunity for increased responsibility as the Houston team continues to expand
  • Strong exposure to clients, architects, brokers, and Houston commercial real estate professionals
  • Clear opportunity to grow into Senior Project Manager and leadership responsibilities
  • Stable national platform with the feel and accessibility of a smaller local office
