About the Job:

We’re looking for an experienced Land Development Project Manager to oversee residential land development projects throughout the Houston, TX market
. This role is ideal for a land development professional with experience managing site development, infrastructure, schedules, budgets, contractors, and consultants from initial planning through finished lot delivery.

This opportunity is with an established Texas-based custom home builder and residential developer with a strong presence in the Houston market. The company is continuing to grow its development pipeline and is looking for an experienced professional to help manage current and upcoming projects.

What You’ll Do:
  • Manage residential land development projects from initial planning through finished lot delivery
    .
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, development costs, and key milestones
    .
  • Coordinate with civil engineers, consultants, municipalities, utility providers, contractors, and internal teams
    .
  • Manage site development and horizontal construction
    , including grading, utilities, drainage, roads, and other infrastructure.
  • Review development plans, engineering drawings, bids, scopes of work, contracts, and project documentation
    .
  • Manage contractors and vendors throughout the development process.
  • Track project costs, invoices, contracts, change orders, and budget performance
    .
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, safety, and schedule adherence
    .
  • Coordinate with local jurisdictions and utility providers to keep projects moving through approvals, permitting, inspections, and completion
    .
  • Proactively identify and resolve development challenges to minimize schedule delays and cost impacts
    .
  • Work closely with internal construction, acquisition, finance, and leadership teams to ensure successful lot delivery and project completion
    .
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience in residential land development and project management
    , ideally within homebuilding or residential development
    .
  • Proven experience managing projects through horizontal development and finished lot delivery
    .
  • Strong understanding of grading, utilities, drainage, roadways, infrastructure, and site development
    .
  • Experience managing contractors, engineers, consultants, municipalities, and utility providers
    .
  • Strong knowledge of development schedules, budgets, contracts, bids, and cost management
    .
  • Ability to read and interpret civil plans, engineering drawings, specifications, and development documentation
    .
  • Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
    .
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of the Houston residential development market is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site in the Houston, TX area
    .
