Project Manager​/Estimator

Role: Project Manager / Estimator - Commercial Flooring

Location: Austin, TX / Houston, TX

Work Arrangement: On-Site

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Estimator with 3-5+ years of commercial flooring experience to estimate commercial flooring projects and manage projects from contract through completion.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing the full project cycle
, including reviewing drawings and specifications, performing take-offs, preparing estimates and bids, coordinating submittals and labor, and ensuring successful project completion.

Experience across tile, stone, carpet, resilient, and wood flooring is highly preferred.

• Estimate commercial flooring projects and prepare bids.
• Review plans, drawings, specifications, schedules, and project costs.
• Perform flooring take-offs and develop accurate estimates.
• Manage projects from contract through completion.
• Coordinate with contractors, architects, suppliers, vendors, customers, and internal teams.
• Manage project schedules, deadlines, costs, and overall project coordination.
• Prepare and coordinate project submittals.
• Coordinate labor and installation requirements.
• Ensure quality, timely, and professional project delivery.
• Monitor project progress and proactively address issues or changes.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with project stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Support successful project closeout and completion.
• Travel occasionally for short-term project or business needs as required.

• 3-5+ years of commercial flooring experience.
• Experience in commercial flooring estimating and project management.
• Experience managing projects from contract through completion.
• Ability to review and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Strong estimating and project management skills.
• Experience performing flooring take-offs.
• Experience with submittals, labor coordination, scheduling, and project completion.
• Commercial flooring experience with multiple flooring types, including:
  • Tile
  • Stone
  • Carpet
  • Resilient flooring
  • Wood flooring
• Strong vendor, contractor, supplier, and customer coordination skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Austin or Houston, TX.
• Willingness to accommodate occasional short-term travel.

• Experience with On-Screen Takeoff (OST).
• Experience working with commercial general contractors, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of commercial flooring installation processes and requirements.
• Experience with construction project management or estimating software.
