We are currently seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Field Engineer to join our Infrastructure Group in Houston. This is a unique entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to launch a career in heavy civil construction, gaining hands‑on experience alongside seasoned project managers and superintendents on underground utility, wastewater treatment, and heavy civil infrastructure projects.

• Support Project Managers and Superintendents with day‑to‑day field engineering tasks across underground utility and heavy civil infrastructure projects
• Assist with layout, grade checks, and quantity verification in coordination with survey crews
• Track and maintain accurate quantity take‑offs, material logs, and as‑built documentation
• Prepare and process RFIs, submittals, and change order documentation
• Maintain detailed daily field reports, photo logs, and progress documentation
• Assist in reviewing plans, specifications, and shop drawings for accuracy and constructability
• Support Quality Control efforts, including inspections, testing coordination, and documentation
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to track deliveries and field progress
• Assist with scheduling updates and support development of CPM schedules
• Champion our safety culture by participating in JSAs, toolbox talks, and daily safety practices

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
• 0-2 years of experience in construction, internships, or co-ops considered a strong plus
• Genuine interest in heavy civil, underground utilities, or wastewater treatment construction
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore, AutoCAD, or P6 is a plus
• Eager to learn, coachable, and comfortable working both in the field and in an office setting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to work on active construction sites in varying weather conditions
