Summary
The broadcast, videography and photography communications associate will join a team of dedicated professionals who act as the newsroom for Baylor College of Medicine. As a videographer you will have the opportunity to collaborate with team members to brainstorm original concepts, creating informative health, research and education focused videos. The ideal candidate should be able to transform ideas into visual narratives for short social media posts to polished brand productions.
Videos will be posted and shared to internal and external-facing audiences with the goal of advancing the mission, vision and values of the College. They will be shared on social media platforms and featured on the college's website to reach large audiences.
After an initial training period, the associate will have the opportunity to work one day per week from home within the Greater Houston area.
Job Duties- Collaborates with marketing and communication teams to create video content in support of the College’s communications efforts.
- Conceptualizes, produces, shoots, and edits video content including writing scripts, while following established College guidelines.
- Conducts interviews for video projects of Baylor faculty, staff and students.
- Edits videos and makes video conversions for digital delivery.
- Records and edits media for the College’s events and podcasts.
- Maintains records of completed video projects.
- Maintains media related equipment, facilities, and supplies.
- May take photos in addition to video services.
- Participates in special projects as needed.
- Continually improves editing skills and techniques, keeping up with latest industry trends.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Two years of relevant experience.
- Experience creating short and long form videos to meet clients' needs, editing video projects, interviewing video subjects, and meeting deadlines for clients.
- Proficient at Adobe Creative Cloud Software (specifically Adobe Premiere Pro).
- Experience creating both short and long-form video content for social media (Facebook, Linked In, X, Instagram, You Tube).
- Experience with DSLR cameras.
- Experience with Adobe After Effect.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, work well on a deadline, and come up with creative solutions.
