Responsibilities
Oversee and execute all live ESPN+ and Web Broadcasts.Plan, direct, and execute on‑air live sporting events.Pre‑ and in‑game production of live broadcast sporting events.Hire, train, and manage full‑time and part‑time staff personnel (including students) on all broadcasting and production requirements, including equipment training, broadcasting roles, positions, etc.Direct the crews and employees assigned to events; conduct production and technical meetings to define crew responsibilities and outline expectations for live broadcasts.Make real‑time decisions regarding what pictures and sounds will be broadcast; interpret data and information to decide camera angles, features, and sequences.Work with engineering technicians for integration of all elements in a telecast including graphics, enhanced technology elements, switcher effects, composite music, etc.Oversee the scheduling and management of full‑time and part‑time staff, crews, and on‑air talent.Serve as spokesperson/ambassador for the Athletics Department and the University of Houston, representing the Department and University in a way that positively reflects and grows affinity for all things UH.Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.Qualifications
MQ:
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical, or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job‑related four‑year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in‑depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job‑related experience.
