Job Summary
The Service Coordinator at Relevant Industrial ensures proper execution and delivery of technical support for rotating equipment. This role focuses on customer satisfaction while meeting business goals of timely service and order fulfillment. The Service Coordinator works closely with internal teams to maintain smooth operations and effective communication with customers.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Perform general order intake functions.
- Answer incoming phone calls and emails from customers and distributors.
- Respond to inquiries regarding stock balance, pricing, and availability; enter subsequent customer orders.
- Investigate issues related to inventory, pricing, deliveries, returns, credits, and technical problems.
- Track incoming shipments and back orders.
- Ensure accurate daily filing of customer orders, invoices, acknowledgments, and departmental communications.
- Maintain and update technical documentation and resources.
- Coordinate between customers, sales representatives, and management.
- Support sales and management with routine and special requests or projects.
- Communicate administrative activities and contribute to business growth.
- Maintain a high level of parts knowledge and develop a solid understanding of Relevant Industrial’s business culture.
- Act on behalf of team members in their absence when necessary.
- Participate in employee development programs, including product and application training, business, and personal development.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five years of experience working within the heavy equipment industry.
- Three years of practical experience in customer service.
- One year of experience in the mining and construction industry.
- Apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to handle a variety of complex situations with limited standardization.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Frequent communication with customers and cross‑functional teams via phone, email, or in person.
- Focus and concentration in an office environment with standard noise levels.
- Occasional reaching, bending, or twisting to access office supplies or equipment.
- Visual acuity to view a computer screen and read printed materials.
- Manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
- Occasionally required to stand and walk.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
