The Bilingual Intake Officer plays a crucial role in facilitating effective communication between clients and the organization, ensuring that all individuals receive the necessary support and services. This position involves conducting initial assessments, gathering relevant information, and providing resources to clients. The officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and documentation of client interactions, which is essential for tracking progress and outcomes.

By fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment, the Bilingual Intake Officer helps to build trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Ultimately, this role contributes to the overall mission of the organization by enhancing client engagement and satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Clerical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a customer service setting.
  • Experience with a mult-line phone system.
  • Associate's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial intake interviews with clients to assess their needs and eligibility for services.
  • Gather and document relevant information from clients, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in all records.
  • Provide clients with information about available resources and services, guiding them through the intake process.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure a seamless transition for clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of resources and services to effectively assist clients.
