The Customer Outreach Advocate supports Community Health Choice campaigns that align with the organization’s operational needs. The advocate handles non‑clinical inbound and outbound calls to Members and Providers, assists members with renewing their health benefits by offering application assistance, and supports internal partners through outreach, reminders, education, scheduling assistance, and retention efforts.
Responsibilities- Perform outreach calls to support Member and Provider campaigns, addressing inquiries and assistance involving benefits, claims, medical appointments/transportation, and more (25%).
- Educate, assist, and coordinate health services for members through effective communication on inbound and outbound calls (25%).
- Complete ad‑hoc requests to ensure the safety of the environment and well‑being of membership in support of Outreach affairs (25%).
- Demonstrate effective telephone skills (10%).
- Demonstrate effective customer service skills (15%).
- Utilize time effectively.
Reports to:
Customer Engagement Supervisor.
- Education
:
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent. - Experience
:
At least 3 years of relevant work experience, including at least 2 years in health care/plan, call center, customer service, and/or sales. - Certification
:
Must have CHW certification or obtain it within the first 6 months of employment. - Software Proficiencies
:
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
