Position Type: Part‑Time, depending on events scheduled
Availability: Frequent nights + weekend availability MANDATORY
Pay Rate: $14.00
Job OverviewThe Lot Attendant creates a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and clients, serving as a representative of the LAZ Way. The attendant greets the public, demonstrates honesty, integrity, accountability, teamwork, and excellent communication skills, and ensures a welcoming environment for all patrons.
Responsibilities- Greet parkers and respond to their inquiries in a timely manner, fostering rapport with customers.
- Complete all required paperwork and reports accurately to account for parking revenues.
- Assist customers in parking lots and direct traffic as needed.
- Promote excellent customer relations through a friendly, can‑do attitude and willingness to help.
- Accept monthly and debit payments and process credit card transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness of the parking location by sweeping, wiping surfaces, emptying trash, picking up debris, and changing light bulbs.
- Maintain and repair faulty parking equipment to ensure proper customer access.
- Appear in the correct LAZ Parking uniform, on time, and ready to work when scheduled.
- Work independently or with supervision, following directions from supervisors.
- Advise individuals loitering on the property to depart or notify non‑emergency police support.
- Ensure the location is safe and address any potentially hazardous conditions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Strong customer service skills and abilities.
- Ability to mitigate challenges and motivate others (never give up attitude).
- Self‑directed work and multi‑tasking capability.
- Professional, effective communication across all levels of the organization and with customers.
- Strong understanding of policies, procedures, and standard business practices.
- Urgency and timeliness in task completion.
- Willingness to be flexible and work at multiple facility locations.
- Ability to handle challenging and emotionally charged situations.
- Proficient spoken, reading, and comprehension of the English language.
- Capacity to make independent decisions and maintain firm stances on decisions made.
- Standing and walking for long periods of time (95–100% of the time).
- Lifting and moving parking equipment.
- Sweeping and changing signage when needed.
- No sitting unless on break and off property.
