Job Requirements- Must be 16 years of age or older for in‑store work.
- Must be 18 years of age or older for delivery work.
Job Duties
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Orientation and training provided on the job.
Communication SkillsAbility to comprehend and give correct written instructions, communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers, and process orders over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions/Skills- Perform basic math accurately and quickly.
- Make correct monetary change.
- Use verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Have motor coordination to perform precise movements quickly.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks.
- In‑store temperatures range from 36°F to 90°F and above.
- Sudden temperature changes.
- Fumes from food odors.
- Exposure to cornmeal dust.
- Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler.
- Hot surfaces or tools up to 500°F or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
- Talking and hearing on telephone.
- Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks.
- Depth perception.
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions.
Physical Requirements Standing & WalkingMost tasks performed while standing; short distances for short durations.
SittingPaperwork typically performed at a desk or table.
Lifting- Bulk product deliveries, unloaded by hand truck.
- Deliveries may include cases weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Cases are usually lifted from floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72" high.
- Large cans (≈3¼ lb) carried from workstation to storage shelves.
- Pizza sauce (~30 lb) carried from storage to front.
- Trays of pizza dough (≈12 lb) carried three at a time.
- Move trays on dollies; force up to 7.5 lb.
- Trays may also be pulled.
Infrequently navigate stairs or climb ladders.
Stoop/Bending- Forward bending at waist necessary at assembly station.
- Duration ~30–45 seconds per instance, repeated continuously.
- Forward bending also at front counter and when stocking ingredients.
Occasional to stock shelves and clean low areas.
Reaching- Continuous reaching upward, downward, forward.
- Occasional reaching above 72" to operate ovens or change signs.
- Reaching down to scoop cornmeal, wash dishes.
- Reaching forward for toppings, cleaning, or answering phones.
- Eye‑hand coordination continuous.
- Use of one or both hands frequent.
- Forceful use of forearms and wrists when shaping dough.
- Manipulate pizza peel and rolling cutter.
- Pinching in box assembly.
- Grasp cans, phone, cutter, peel, boxes.
