• Assists Public Loss Investigators in gathering information.
• Uses effective questioning techniques to verify/confirm customers' concerns.
• Maintains and monitors various records and reports.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

The position is physically comfortable most of the time with occasional periods of stooping, bending and/or light lifting of materials up to 20 pounds. General office conditions.

May require long periods of standing re are occasional minor discomforts from exposure to less-than-optimal temperature and air conditions. The position may involve dealing with modestly unpleasant situations, as with occasional exposure to office chemicals and/or extensive use of a monitor. Requires the ability to make coordinated gross motor movements in response to changing external stimuli within moderately demanding tolerances; or the ability to make coordinated eye/hand movements on a patterned response space within low tolerance demands with no real speed requirements.

Basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. as might normally be acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or a GED.

Two years of administrative or customer service related experience are required.

Substitution:
An Associate’s degree may be substituted for up to two years of the experience requirement.

NONE Preference will be given to applicants with experience using Microsoft programs and who have experience with face-to-face interaction. Candidates must be able to work independently and possess excellent interpersonal, communication and computer skills.

Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6.
