Job SummaryThe Associate General Dentist is responsible for providing high-quality dental care to both children and adult patients, supporting the practice’s strategic expansion into a full-service family dentistry model. With a primary focus on clinical excellence, patient comfort, and collaborative care, this role leads adult and family dentistry services while working closely with the Pediatric Dentist/Practice Owner to ensure consistent standards, quality outcomes, and alignment with the practice’s mission and values.
This position is structured as a 1099 independent contractor role and is compensated on a per diem basis.
- Comprehensive Patient Care: Provide dental care to both pediatric and adult patients, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centered treatment.
- Pediatric Patient Comfort & Care: Demonstrate comfort and competence working with children, using appropriate communication and behavior management techniques.
- Independent Practice & Professional Judgment: Exercise independent clinical judgment in diagnosis, treatment planning, and delivery of dental care in accordance with professional standards.
- Adult & Family Dentistry Leadership: Lead the adult and family dentistry portion of the practice, serving as the primary provider for adult patient care.
- Restorative Dentistry: Perform restorative procedures including fillings, crowns, and other common restorative treatments based on patient needs.
- Prosthodontic Procedures: Provide or manage care for patients requiring dentures, bridges, implants, or other advanced restorative solutions, based on experience and competency.

Collaborate with the Primary Pediatric Dentist as needed to ensure continuity of care and alignment on clinical standards. - Patient Follow-Up & Outcomes: Ensure patients receive effective treatment resulting in positive outcomes, minimal complications, and long-term oral health.
- Production & Efficiency: Manage appointment time effectively to support productive patient flow and practice growth.

- Education: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental program.
- Experience: Experience practicing general dentistry, with comfort providing care to both adult and pediatric patients.
