Patient Service Representative
AOS is seeking an amazing person to serve as Patient Services Rep, and be on the front lines of a busy, world-class orthognathic practice. We are seeking someone organized with a positive disposition. This is a fast-paced demanding role as AOS is a highly sought after practice with high volume. AOS is one of the busiest practices in the city of Houston and well-known for our methods in jaw surgery worldwide.
Candidates for this position will be required to process payments, schedule appointments and assist patients with understanding their coverage, benefits and payment options. This position will be perfect for someone who is motivated and detail-oriented, and has a strong attention to detail, has great written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving and a knack for putting people erience in a hospital, dental or orthognathic practice is preferred.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Register patients for surgery.
- Verify insurances.
- Assess patients' medical history and current status.
- Assist the surgery scheduling staff in verifying the eligibility of patients for a given surgery.
- Distribute forms to patients and gather information from them regarding pre-surgery instructions.
- Communicate with physician's office staff regarding pending surgical procedures.
- Communicate with clinic and hospital staff regarding patient's concerns.
