Jr. Architectural Draft and Designer

Overview

The Junior Architectural Drafter & Designer plays a key support role within the Major Projects Team, contributing to the development of architectural drawings and construction documentation. This position requires a strong foundation in technical drafting and design, with proficiency in CAD software and a keen attention to detail. The role involves assisting senior designers with drawing production, performing field as-builts, and preparing accurate and organized drawing sets.

• Support senior architectural designers on project deliverables
• Conduct site visits and create accurate as-built drawings
• Set up drawing sheets and organize plan sets
• Draft floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details
• Incorporate redline markups from senior staff or consultants
• Print and assemble drawing sets for internal and external use

• Degree or diploma in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or related field
• Strong background in CAD software, AutoCAD required; REVIT a plus
• Solid understanding of architectural drafting standards and techniques

• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Positive, proactive attitude and a collaborative team mindset
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
