POSITION DETAILS

EHRA Engineering is seeking a Project Manager to become part of a growing Landscape Architecture team that thrives on realizing creative visions, designing communities, and collaborating across multiple disciplines. The position requires the successful candidate to be a creative problem solver with the ability to successfully manage a wide range of project types and deliver a high-quality product within established timelines and budgets.

The Landscape Architecture Project Manager takes pride in creating meaningful places and communicates efficiently and effectively with senior staff, clients, consultants, and public officials as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Landscape Architecture team works on a variety of project types including master planned communities, commercial improvements, streetscapes, public parks and trails, commercial developments, master‑planned residential amenities, urban renewal and streetscapes, transportation projects, and Low‑Impact Developments. The Project Manager will possess exceptional design and aesthetic sensibilities with the ability to lead teams and supervise staff to deliver successful projects on time and within budget.

Typical duties will generally include the following:

  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills, presenting and compiling ideas through written, verbal, and graphic methods.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of construction detailing and methodologies to ensure buildable, practical results.
  • Mentor junior staff, meet regularly with direct reports, and support their professional growth in all aspects.
  • Confer with clients, engineers, and other consultants to develop clear project goals, deadlines, budgets, and expectations.
  • Attend monthly Water District meetings (MUD, LID, UD, etc.) and provide project status updates to board members, project teams, and consultants.
  • Coordinate existing and proposed land features and structures.
  • Prepare graphic representations of proposed plans using computer‑aided drafting and design (CADD) software, 3‑D modeling (Sketch Up), and hand‑graphics.
  • Guide the selection of appropriate materials for landscape designs, including plants, paving, fencing, signage, and furnishings.
  • Inspect construction sites to ensure projects adhere to original design plans, codes, and contract documents.
  • Attend regional and local conferences and events to stay updated on trends, share insights with the team and expand professional networking and business development.
  • Assist in recruiting efforts and interviews of potential candidates.
  • Collaborate closely with Planning, Platting, Engineering, Contracts, and Construction teams.
  • Prepare detailed project proposals, including scope of work, timelines, budgets, resource allocations, and fee structures, in collaboration with senior leadership and clients.
  • Review and approve billing drafts and project financials to ensure accuracy, alignment with contracts, and timely client invoicing based on milestones or progress.
  • Collaborate with the Billing Analyst to invoice related matters, such as reviewing unbilled time/expenses, addressing client payment inquiries, and supporting collection efforts when necessary.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture (or related field); 5+ years of professional experience managing a range of project sizes, types, budgets, and staff teams;
Registered Landscape Architect in the State of Texas preferred or actively seeking licensure;
