Position: Technical Designer (Hybrid Working Style)

Technical Designer/Architectural Designer | Houston, TX

Project Focus: Commercial Interior Design | Workplace Interiors

Working Style: Hybrid Working Style (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)

Are you someone who thrives in the technical side of design, where details matter, coordination is critical, and drawings drive real-world results? This role is built for a designer who enjoys solving complex architectural challenges, producing high-quality construction documentation, and ensuring projects are executed with clarity and precision. You’ll be part of a highly collaborative team environment, contributing across all phases of a project with a strong emphasis on documentation, coordination, and construction administration.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of the technical backbone of projects and play a key role in bringing design concepts to life.

What You’ll Do

As the Technical Designer, you will join a talented, thoughtful team that works to create meaningful experiences for our clients that allow them to thrive and grow as a business. You should be a fast learner and prepared to work in all aspects of interior design and architecture with a focus on construction documentation, consultant coordination, and construction administration for the team.

A Technical Designer is highly competent in the production of construction documents and demonstrates strong problem‑solving abilities and professional judgment, earning both the team’s and the client’s trust.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design from a CIDA or NCARB‑accredited school.
  • 3‑8 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in parametric modeling, visualization and graphic software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Motivation to learn, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Must be a team player, collaborate and work well with colleagues and clients.
  • Must be self‑motivated, research‑driven, disciplined, and have strong organizational skills.
