Product Designer

Job Duties

Prepare sketches of detailed drawings and illustrations of porcelain tile products to be used for the company's remodeling projects; modify and refine designs of tile products to conform with customer specifications and production limitations; evaluate feasibility of design ideas, based on appearance, function, service ability, budget and production costs/methods; confer with the company's marketing, production and sales departments to establish and evaluate design concepts for the manufactured tile products;

research production specifications, costs, production materials, and manufacturing methods for the tile products to be used for the company's remodeling projects; develop manufacturing procedures and monitor the fabrication of porcelain tile products to improve quality of the products.

Position requires Bachelor’s Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Architecture or Industrial Design. Position also requires at least 12 months of experience in the job offered or in the alternate occupation of Project Manager, Senior Architect or Design Project Manager. The required experience must have been gained in a company doing business in the remodeling or construction industry.
