In this role, you will translate creative concepts into precise, buildable 2D and 3D fabrication drawings for highly customized projects ranging from multifamily and corporate environments to custom trade show exhibits and branded spaces. Your work will bring complex, visually compelling designs to life.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of creativity and technical precision, enjoys solving challenges, refining details, and collaborating closely with designers, project managers, and fabrication teams to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities- Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using Vectorworks and Illustrator.
- Convert design renderings into fabrication‑ready shop drawings.
- Develop CNC cut files and bills of material.
- Prepare graphic layouts using Adobe Illustrator.
- Coordinate dimensions, details, and construction methods.
- Ensure drawings account for cost efficiency, durability, and installation.
- Review and coordinate third‑party shop drawings.
- Maintain organized and accurate project file management.
- Work closely with design, project management, and fabrication teams.
- Provide technical clarification to production teams.
- Update drawings based on client feedback and design revisions.
- Participate in project and production meetings.
- 3+ years of signage detailing experience.
- Strong proficiency with CAD software.
- Experience creating shop drawings or fabrication drawings.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator.
- Ability to interpret design renderings and technical concepts.
- Experience in multifamily and corporate signage.
- Experience creating CNC cut files.
- Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop (a plus).
- Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Exceptional attention to detail and technical accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and problem‑solving.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
- Understanding of 3D detailing and mechanical construction.
- Eagerness to learn under a skilled art department.
