In this role, you will plan, develop, design, coordinate, and review architectural work on large projects with unique requirements. You will prepare discipline estimates and work plans, review and approve design documents, interpret regulations, and assist with performance reporting. Your recommendations for resolving complex issues will help ensure client satisfaction with a project's architectural aspects.
Responsibilities- Plan, develop, coordinate, and review architectural work on large pharmaceutical projects.
- Coordinate and interface with the day‑to‑day technical work of personnel.
- Support preparation of job hour estimates, staffing needs, and schedules.
- Provide technical input to meet procurement requirements.
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of architectural documents and work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Review and approve architectural drawings and documents.
- Coordinate with client representatives to obtain approval of architectural aspects of the work.
- Review and approve supplier drawings, data, material specifications, drawings, and change orders for the assigned project.
- Mentor architectural personnel by providing on‑the‑job training for their professional development.
- Bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13‑15 years of relevant experience or 17‑19 years of relevant work experience.
- Licensed Architect registered to practice architecture in Texas.
- 8+ years of experience within regulated GMP environments (Pharma, Biotech, or Medical Devices).
- Advanced knowledge of architectural design, production techniques, building specifications, construction documents, and project delivery methods.
- Knowledge of building codes, current industry and regulatory standards and criteria pertinent to architectural work.
- Experience in value engineering and proposing alternate technical concepts.
- Experience in coordination of architectural design with other engineering disciplines and functions (construction, estimating, project controls, procurement, and contracts management).
- Experience in monitoring and ensuring compliance with project budgets, schedules, quantities, and quality requirements.
- Knowledge and experience using BIM, Autodesk Design suite (e.g., Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks).
- Proven ability to lead and work within a diverse multicultural environment.
- Demonstrated experience supporting site startups, major expansions, or large capital projects.
