Designer - Mid Level

Position Summary

As a Gensler Designer, your role is to combine creativity, technical knowledge, and business insight to produce functional, beautiful spaces for clients. You will collaborate with talented colleagues to enhance Gensler’s culture for design excellence, elevate the quality of design, and achieve recognition for our clients and the firm.

• Perform interior design assignments including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and construction documentation
• Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting
• Generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction
• Provide design support and documentation during the completion and execution of design concepts
• Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related accredited program
• 5+ years of interior design experience
• Proficiency in Revit, 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software
• Detailed understanding of FF&E design and deliverables (furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications)
• Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
• Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
• Passionate, self‑starting, intelligent, dedicated, efficient
• LEED accreditation a plus
• Portfolio or work samples in PDF format to be submitted with the application
