About Your Role

This is a professional, hands‑on, full‑time position that includes day‑to‑day duties of reviewing vendor drawings, utilizing Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&) drawings and 3D modeling programs to create 3D models, and preparing and reviewing the bill of materials.

Essential Duties And Major Responsibilities
  • 3D Modeling
    • Utilize P& to create 3D piping models.
    • Create 3D models from vendor drawings.
    • Create 3D models of chutes and ducts.
    • Coordinate with all disciplines to create an accurate and complete model.
  • Construction Drawings
    • Prepare final construction drawings to accurately reflect the engineered design.
    • Create piping isometric drawings from a 3D model.
    • Create piping plans from a 3D model.
    • Prepare a bill of materials from a 3D model.
    • Create detailed drawings for fabrication from 3D model.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of previous drafting or modeling experience utilizing Auto Desk products required.
  • Associate's Degree preferred.

  • Must have a valid, active driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.

Supervisory Expectations
  • The position does not have any regular responsibility for overseeing or supervising the work of other team members.
Independence of Action
  • Supervisor/manager closely monitors work; detailed instructions and procedures are generally provided.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Work environment typical office environment with various distractions. On sites, distractions from OSHA hazards, industrial materials, machinery & equipment, dangerous chemical substances. Must be able to drive to sites or meetings.
  • Physical demands include sitting and using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; frequently talking or hearing; occasionally standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Expected to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Vision abilities: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
