We are seeking an experienced Architect III to provide technical leadership and architectural expertise on large, complex projects from programming through construction. This role serves as a subject matter expert (SME) in building systems and architectural design, collaborating closely with project managers, design teams, consultants, and firm leadership to develop innovative, high-quality design and technical solutions.
Architect III professionals are recognized as design and technical leaders within the firm, representing the lead technical viewpoint on projects, influencing design strategy, mentoring project teams, and ensuring technical excellence throughout project delivery.
PositionPreferred Qualifications:
- LEED (or similar) accreditation
- Experience in one or more of the following market sectors: higher education, aviation, civic, cultural, K-12, workplace, sports & rec.
- NCARB Certificate
Required Qualifications:
- Professional degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited program with a minimum of 10 years professional post-graduate experience in the United States
- Active Professional Architect (PA) license in Texasthat is in good standing.
- Proven track record handling the technical aspects offull-service architectural projects from concept to completion, including coordination and integration of all subconsultant disciplines.
- Ability to present technical and design solutions directly to clients with confidence.
- Advanced knowledge of building systems andenvelopedesign; building codesand life safety requirements; accessibility regulations; construction documentation and detailing; technical project coordination.
- Experience with construction administration.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience leading,supervising and mentoring design and technical delivery teams.
- Technical expertise in Revit, Bluebeam and the Microsoft Suite is mandatory.
Experience with Enscape, the Adobe Suite, Rhino, Sketchup and Affinity software is desirable.
- Work closely with the Principal(s) and Project Manager to execute comprehensive project plansand balance design intent, budget, schedule, and technical requirements.
- Lead the technical and design direction of assigned projects while servingas the primarytechnicalauthority andsubconsultantliaison.
- Bring specialized expertise to the table (e.g., Lab Planner,Medical,Interior Design Specialist, or similar niche roles).
- Participate in technical reviews, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), and constructability reviews.
