The DLDCCC is an NCI‑designated comprehensive cancer center affiliated with Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, Ben Taub Hospital, the Michael

E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, and Texas Children’s Hospital. The O’Quinn Medical Tower offers state‑of‑the‑art facilities including radiology, radiation oncology, endoscopy, and an 80‑bed infusion center with a dedicated Phase I unit.

The DLDCCC supports over $130 million in annual cancer‑related research funding, including more than $44 million from the NCI. Faculty benefit from access to six well‑funded research programs and ten disease‑specific working groups that foster collaboration between basic and clinical scientists. Summary

The Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology and Oncology, at Baylor College of Medicine is recruiting a genitourinary medical oncologist to provide patient‑centered multidisciplinary care and serve as an active clinical investigator at the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center’s McNair Campus.

Initial faculty assignment (for the first two years) will include 80% clinical effort through Baylor Medicine (outpatient clinic and inpatient rounding) and 20% protected research time for clinical research. At full ramp up, clinical activity would consist of 5‑6 half‑day clinics per week and 6‑8 weeks of inpatient service at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, with the opportunity to decrease clinical effort with grant funding.

Minimum Qualifications
  • MD or MD/PhD degree
  • BC/BE in Hematology and/or Oncology
  • Eligible for a Texas medical license and DEA certification
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical documentation and billing
  • Experience or strong interest in clinical trials and translational research in GU cancers
